Back to Back Promotions has been the idea of Ohio native Don Long for years. After nearly 20 years building, driving, and destroying cars in local demolition derbies, Don wanted to begin a new chapter in his life on derbies...promoting them. In 2005, Don Long put his plan to work. He called other "ready to retire" drivers, asked them to join his team and started booking fairs, race tracks, and local events. With the knowledge they had of derbies, they knew what the drivers and the crowds wanted. Back to Back Promotions is largely known to be a fair derby/fig-8 promoter. As all drivers know, there's no such thing as a perfect derby, but that's what we strive for.
